Despite the scandal, Facebook users remain loyal to the social network

A survey reveals that most US subscribers continue to come on the platform. A quarter of them would even, paradoxically, have more recourse.

Although Mark Zuckerberg admits he made errors in Facebook's data privacy policy in the Cambridge Analytica case, this does not seem to have undermined the trust of US users in the social network. A survey conducted by Ipsos for Reuters shows that the platform does not suffer for the moment no problematic disaffection.

Those who leave are in the minority

The opinion survey was conducted from April 26 to 30 and shows that half of subscribers did not change their habits, continuing to come as often as before. More surprisingly, a quarter of users even say they visit Facebook more frequently. This makes it possible to counterbalance the leak of the remaining quarter who decided to reduce his attendance, stop coming or even delete his account altogether. In the end, 64% say they use Facebook at least once a day. This is less than the 68% of March but it is far from catastrophic or irrattrapable. Facebook can hope to climb the slope in the coming months by force of contrition and signs displayed in the direction of greater privacy of private data.

The remodeling of the tools to set up his account, and advertising around it, seems in any case to have paid. 78% of US Facebook users say they know how to change their privacy settings against 65% for Instagram and 58% for Twitter.
