Google allows you to delete the data it collected during your searches

In order to comply with the new European regulations RGPD, the publisher gives access to its users to the different histories generated when using its services.

When you surf the web, your browser usually saves your browsing history. But he is not the only one. This is also the case of Google, which collects and keeps a lot of data about you. But the new European regulation on data protection (RGPD in French, GDPR in English), which comes into effect May 25, changes the game and requires Google to give more power to the user. Thus, it is now possible to access a section of his Google Account called My Activity and remove the different histories (by date, product or looking for a specific name), or all the research stored by the publisher.


Google has also sent an email to its users that contains a link to an information site. This site details the data collected by the publisher with explanatory videos.

Admittedly, it takes a little time to read all the explanations but the set is rather well designed and allows to know precisely how to act on the privacy settings if you do not want to be spied by Google. Finally, the site allows you to delete some services, if you do not use them (Google+, YouTube, Gmail, Play Games), or to completely delete his account.
