Real-time text recognition

Text recognition offers many possibilities that simplify our daily lives. To illustrate this new feature, Google has chosen to show a list of recipes. The user selects one of these dishes and Google Lens opens a small window revealing a short description. An assistant for shopping

With visual recognition, Google Lens also has the ability to identify objects. Prizes will be displayed with links to purchase the items presented directly. It will work with so many products, as Google Google has shown in video: books, decorations, and so on.

The good news is that Google Lens will be integrated natively into the camera software of many smartphones partners. No need to get a specific application, the feature is present on compatible smartphones: the Google Pixel and some LG terminals, Xiaomi, Sony, Nokia, Motorola, Transsion, TCL, BQ, Asus and OnePlus. Samsung and Huawei are naturally absent from this list since they propose their own solution.
