Gmail might not be the only service to enjoy a facelift before the summer. The giant of the Web would consider seriously refresh the design but also the content of its news portal.

After the Gmail update in mid-April, Google plans to seriously refresh the content of its Google News news page. According to the AdAge website, this could be one of the announcements made by Google at its next Google I / O conference to be held May 8-11. According to AdAge, Google will make a graphic makeover of the site, but not only. This update would also be an opportunity for Google to put more emphasis on content from two of its online services.


YouTube first, but also its online kiosk Google Play Newsstand whose dedicated page could disappear, still according to AdAge. The service would be directly integrated into Google News, but also offered as an app, at least in countries where Google made it available.

The firm of Mountain View would also have discussions with publishers to better highlight their content. An approach that is part of Google's "anti fake news" policy, for which he devotes a lot of human resources, but financial also allocating a budget of $ 300 million over 3 years.

Finally, AdAge also indicates that the future news portal could use AMP technology. Remember that this is an acceleration technique to make internet browsing faster from a mobile.
