Microsoft wants to integrate iMessage, Apple, in Windows 10

In an interview, Microsoft officials have expressed their wish for an alliance with Apple. The goal: to integrate iMessage with the future Your Phone application of Windows 10.

If this reconciliation should not be a problem on Android, Microsoft wants to partner with Apple to ensure that iPhone owners are housed in the same brand.
iMessage on Windows, a utopia?

In 2011 with iOS 5, Apple announced iMessage, its online messaging service. Almost invisible, iMessage is activated automatically when two correspondents are equipped with an Apple device, and therefore requires no intervention of the user. A strength that has made it one of the major assets of iOS or macOS.

During the first demonstration of Your Phone during Build 2018, Microsoft focused on support for notifications, photos ... and messages. Problem: "Apple makes things a bit more difficult for messages," says Shilpa Ranganathan to The Verge, cross-device manager for Windows 10.

If, technically, Microsoft could hack a system capable of absorbing iMessage on Windows, the company wants to do things more neatly: "I want to do it in an official way, in the respect of the ecosystem that we build and make a wonderful experience. Negotiations lost in advance?

Is the idea of ​​an iMessage on Android too utopian to be realistic? Not necessarily. For several years, rumors regularly report an Android version of iMessage, although Apple has always claimed the opposite.
By extending to Windows, Apple would continue its diversification into a service business and could encourage loyal users of Windows to take an interest in its other products. As a reminder, iTunes has just landed on the Windows Store, and Apple Music exists on Android since its launch. Proof that the brand is not so closed on his services.

One more question: Is Apple ready to integrate iMessage with Windows, at the risk of removing one of its assets from macOS?
