But, much more powerful than its competitors of the time, this console overpriced (just like its games) found its place only among the most fortunate. A mythical toy library

The Neo Geo mini is its name, is a miniaturized version of an arcade. It will integrate some forty games with the rendezvous of legendary licenses. According to the visuals provided by SNK, we should find the famous series of Metal Slug, King of Fighters, Fatal Fury or Samurai Showdown.


A miniature screen

This new version, which fits in the palm of the hand, has a joystick, six buttons and a tiny screen ... 3.5 inches! A diagonal screen so small that it will clearly not be easy to play ... But fortunately, the machine can be connected to a TV screen with an HDMI cable. Depending on the region, the colors vary. It will be blue, white and red for Asia while the western version will be black, white and with a blue roof.


Price and release date still unknown

We still do not know the price or the release date of the Neo Geo Mini. But at the time, the machine did not carry its nickname "Rolls-Royce of the video game" for nothing. It took 3,500 francs to get it, the equivalent of 530 euros today. And the price of the games was to match: it was necessary to disburse at least 1000 francs, or 152 euros at least to pay a cartridge! There is a good chance that this new version will be more expensive than those of its competitors Nintendo and Sega, but we still hope that SNK makes a real price effort to allow the greatest number of finally benefit from this beautiful machine.
