The application has filed a very enigmatic patent that could be used to automatically detect, thanks to an AI, customers intoxicated on board its vehicles.

Is Uber trying to avoid problem passengers? The company of putting in relation with drivers seems to want in any case to anticipate the cases of intoxication with its customers. The CNN site has located a patent filed by the company describing a system that can detect, through artificial intelligence, a change in behavior in a user. There is no question of a passenger who has drunk too much. But CNN understands that this is the goal of the approach.

This would involve first observing habits and attitudes of customers to better identify the unusual items. Uber points out that the algorithm could be based on typing errors, how to interact with the application (slowness, awkwardness) but also the speed at which the person walks and the time it takes to control his race. .

The patent states that the service would be adapted accordingly.
